Can Wheat Grass be replaced by other vegetables?

Don’t Have Wheat Grass..Article Comment
If You Don’t Have Wheat Grass, What Combination of Vegetables Will Replace It?
The short answer is that nothing will replace wheat grass. It’s not because I direct Hippocrates that I say that. It’s because for decades I’ve been reading on phytonutrients and phytochemicals. Some of the most interesting work is now coming out of the University of Oregon Corvallis, the Linus Pauling Center there.
Let me stop here and tell you what a phytochemical is.
Phytochemicals are natural-occurring chemistries that we find in raw plant foods, fruits and vegetables. They were discovered by mistake some decades ago. We realized in agricultural science that every plant that was an original plant from its original geographical location naturally had its own pesticides. This was well before mankind. The pesticides were there to save this species of plant so the last plant would not be eaten by animals in that area. Isn’t that amazing? When you think about nature and God and creation and evolution, it’s a phenomenal thing to consider what we have now discovered in science.
A very intelligent biochemist said, “”My god! If that’s the poison for animals and insects, wouldn’t it hurt people?” When he started to microscopically observe this, he found that it not only did not hurt us, but it helped us. He would watch and each and every plant that he extracted, which was called a phytonutrient or phytochemical, chased different diseases. The compilation of that brings us to wheat grass.
What they’ve found in the last decade globally is that the foods with the highest amounts of these phytochemicals, that not only prevent but eliminate disease, are sprouted grains. Wheat grass, obviously, is a sprouted grain.
What differentiates the grain we call wheat from all other grains is this. There are approximately 115 elements on the elemental table. What that means is that everything you see, touch or taste in the universe is made of all or many of these elements. It’s give and take. Every once in a while, someone comes up with one of these elements that may be right or may not be right.
Wheat grass has 96 of these elements. That’s amazing in itself because it’s so full-spectrum in what it gives you. That probably is the reason why sprouted grains are the original things that were growing. The very first live form on this planet was blue-green algae that came out of the ocean. The second life form was sea vegetables. The third life form was grasses. These grains are from the grass family.
What you have to know is that the core of the Hippocrates dietary program is algae, both sea and freshwater algae, and sprouts. These sprouts have the highest amount of phytochemicals.
Scientist now tell us, after hundreds of millions of dollars of research has been conducted, that the phytochemicals in wheat grass isolate and destroy every form of cancer, virus and bacteria they have researched. It also greatly reduces the impact from something called spirochete, which is known as Lyme Disease. We’ve done oral testing for a number of years and found that all of us have this spirochete in our mouth. It doesn’t always become Lyme Disease, but it has a much greater impact than we think, in our environment
Other sprouts, if you don’t have wheat grass, certainly have their own impact.
Pea green sprouts, which we make green drinks out of, have the propensity to literally help eat the protein sheathing off cancer cells. Sunflower green sprouts literally are the most magnificent, completely balanced protein. They have all the essential amino acids, and also has the ability to strengthen red blood cells at a very significant level.
There are different sprouts that you can use, but do not consider them as effective as wheat grass.
We researched wheat grass powders when we were still in Boston. We moved the Institute out of Boston about 21 years ago after it had resided there for 30 years. At the MIT laboratories, we did the research and showed that wheat grass powder (and today we can add barley powder) is less than 1% as effective as fresh wheat grass juice. Anyone with common sense would understand that because what we dry out of the powder is the juice. The nutrients and the punch are in the juice. The powders, even though they haven’t been heated, have very little effect.
What would be the ideal inexpensive juice to make that would give you similar benefits to wheat grass? This is highly inexpensive, providing you live in an area where weeds still grow.
Edible weeds have the same frequency, impact and immune-powering benefits that sprouts have. Edible weeds, which by the way were the fourth life form on this planet, that would have a similar impact are Plantain, Lamb’s Quarter, Purslane. Purslane has one of the highest fatty acid contents, which helps the brain and the cardiovascular system. That would be my suggestion.
As far as vegetables go, sadly most vegetables were picked days, if not weeks before you consume them. There was a study conducted at the University of California a couple of years ago. They picked and washed a head of lettuce, and 32 minutes later 50% of the nutrients were gone. What hope do we have days or weeks later? Green vegetables fresh out of your organic garden would certainly be comparable in the chlorophyll category.
Wheat grass has an abundance of hormones, phytochemicals, oxygen and enzymes. It’s that in living food, not only wheat grass, that brings us back to life successfully, retards disease processes, helps remedy disease, and also prevents the premature aging process.
