Is it a good idea that children 1 to 2 years old take wheat grass juice or green drinks? Do we have to be careful with giving children raw, cruciferous vegetables?
In the ideal world, we would breastfeed our children for about two years. I have four children. In some cases, their teeth came in at 1 ½ years. In some cases, their teeth came in at 2 ½ years.
When we have all of our teeth in, or a great part of our teeth in, it is an indicator that we have the enzymes, the protease, carbohydrate-digesting enzymes, lipase and fat-digesting enzymes. We can begin to eat solid food, but we should not go overboard.
In the case of juices, you can give the juice of wheatgrass and the juice of green drinks in combination with breast milk to a child from the time they’re 5 months to 6 months old. We did that with all four of my children, three of whom are grown and out of the house.
We can assure you that wheatgrass and green drinks that are made in great part with sprouts are magnificent nourishment compared to a vegetable that was grown somewhere else weeks ago. They will help to develop brain function, cellular structure, organ strength, skeletal structure and bone strength. All of those will be enhanced by taking powerfully nutritious, high-protein foods such as sprouts, including wheatgrass.
