The white blood cells are known as leukocytes. They are the major soldiers of the immune system. When one has any disease, including the blood-flowing cancer and blood-bound cancer called leukemia, the immune system has to go after it to prevent it from becoming more pervasive. It takes a high number of leukocytes or white blood cells to do this. This is why in blood tests leukocytes go down.
Also with leukemia, the spleen is not producing the amount of cells that it should. In the vast majority of cases the lymphatic system is not creating the amount of immune system leukocytes that it should. That’s not an odd thing.
There are particular supplementations to help to increase immunological function rapidly, like IVs of whole foods. CoQ 10 is one and selenium is another. Glutathione is probably the most important of all.
When you are in need of raising your numbers rapidly to get your immune system back on track to fight any form of disorder, our strong suggestion is that you find a competent doctor where you live. You want a doctor who is willing to find and use whole food forms of these things and IV them into you.
Other than that, glutathione is available in a patch. This is similar to the patches they use to put medicines into the body. Glutathione needs to either be an IV into the bloodstream or in a patch. Ingestion of glutathione doesn’t work.
That’s the most important chemistry in the immune system function. You want the leukocytes, eosinophils, basophils and all of the other fighters back on track and increased in number.
The glutathione patches can be used by those of you with an aversion to IVs, do not have the finances for IV-treatment or cannot find a competent doctor who is willing to do those IVs for you. Finding a competent doctor is probably most important.
We could go on for the next 16 hours about the benefits of wheat grass and then come back for 20 hours tomorrow and 50 hours the next day. Wheatgrass is one of the only foods with the vast majority of 115 elements from the elemental table.
You all remember back in high school when you learned about the elemental table. Most foods high in the number of elements have 30, 40 or possibly 50. Wheat has 96 of those elements.
When we look back in history at what they used to call wheat, there was a reason it was called the staff of life. It contained a vast majority of life-building elements. As you recall, those 150 elements are what make up the universe as we know it.
Your body is made of many of those elements. The soil and trees are made of those. Even man-made elements and chemicals originated with one or many of these elemental table elements. That is the number one reason why wheat is a great staple and foundation.
Spelt and kamut are even better choices. Both are more primitive, certainly less hybrid forms of wheat. The original wheats probably had 35% to 45% protein. The average wheat today has 7% to 8% protein. If you find a fine-quality organic wheat, like spelt or kamut, it probably has up to 20% protein.
Germinate it, and expose it to UV rays, either under a very shady tree so it doesn’t get direct sunlight in the heat of the day or inside a home, even if you live in very cold climates, in a window, in a tray, all year long.
Here in the very hot tropics, obviously we grow it inside under cool conditions in the summer. It can be grown outside when it gets cooler, but again, in shade.
The UV rays from the sun are how we get all forms of life on this planet. As a matter of fact, tonight I was doing a lecture to 100 people. Of course, the classic question came up from the masses who have been corrupted by misinformation. “Where do you get your protein?”
Let’s explain basic science. As UV rays come down and reach the blade of grass or leaf on the tree, plant, bush, shrub or vegetable, it converts over in the plant into a protein that converts over into usable glucose. That’s where life comes from. It comes from that UV ray converting into a protein, and then converting into a glucose the body can then use.
When you get the 96 elements in it, you are capturing light at the highest level that goes into the body 96 uniquely different ways, affecting and nourishing the human cell in 96 building-block ways.
Additionally, it is a complete protein, meaning it has all of the nine essential amino acids that the body does not create and needs to get from food sources. One ounce of wheat grass provides one gram of 100%, completely-usable protein.
Next, it has a wide array of minerals and vitamins. Most importantly, what has been touted about wheatgrass over the decades, and why it has been the most popular health food worldwide, is that the chlorophyll is beneficial.
In 1982, I had the great privilege to be on a television show with Nathan Pritikin. Some of you know Nathan from the great work he did on cardiovascular disease and putting people on non-animal food diets with vigorous exercise.
He turned around that non-disease we call cardiovascular disease very systematically. What was unique about Nathan Pritikin was that he had no formal education. He was brilliant. He had a photographic memory.
We spoke for 10 minutes before the 30-minute show where they were going to pit us against Dr. Stier from Harvard University. He was a very savvy and much more mature man than me at that point He said, “Let me take the lead. I’ll provoke Dr. Stier because he has a short fuse.
“I’ll tell him exactly what he disagrees with. You’ll tell him that the most important part of the living food program is chlorophyll.”
Nathan Pritikin is like a walking encyclopedia. He couldn’t be tricked at any level. We talked about books he read at 10 years old and what each page, chapter and word they said. Dr. Stier was a little bit convoluted at that stage. He had him hyped up and ready to go.
Dr. Stier then turned to me and thought, “I can attack this much younger man and get away with it.” I just led him right into the trap. I said, “The most important part of the living food program that heals you the most is chlorophyll.” Today, believe it or not, decades later, in schools, chemists and biochemists all learn that chlorophyll has no nutritional benefit.
Ironically, when I was helping to assemble one of Dr. Ann Wigmore’s books back in 1980, called The Hippocrates Diet and Health Program, I had a lot more time on my plate than I do now. I spent hundreds of hours researching data and information.
In the Cambridge, Massachusetts medical library, I found that in the 1930s and 1940s there was a watershed of evidence that chlorophyll is a healing agent for every known disease. I also made copies of photographs from books showing that it helped wounds, tumors, boils and everything you could possibly imagine.
It was put on the market for about three years in the 1940s. It was then taken off of the market for no effect.
Listen to how silly this is. In the laboratories, they were using raw chlorophyll from plants. They didn’t identify which plants, but we assume they would have been the more common plants, like spinach and cabbage.
The raw cabbage inside of the laboratories was prevailing and showing such extraordinary effect that they got excited, cooked it and pasteurized it because all bottled fluids have to be pasteurized. They put it on the market, and it had no effect. I’m sure they weren’t that detached from reality not to know that was the reason.
It was put on and off the market. That doesn’t preclude the fact that there was extraordinary evidence globally on the effect of chlorophyll.
Dr. Stier from Harvard, the very university where a lot of these research studies I read were conducted, didn’t know his own university studies. It is antiseptic. It actually sterilizes the body.
Chlorophyll has a very similar composition to hemoglobin and the human red blood cell. The only other thing that is close to it and very similar in composition is sea water. Those three elements are very powerful agents for rebuilding, sterilizing and keeping very clean, strong, normalized cell structures in the body.
