The Truth About Frozen and Powdered Wheat Grasses
When we were still in Boston 30-some years ago, we had access to the MIT research lab. We did a study which showed that wheatgrass powder is less than 1% effective. It makes a lot of sense when I tell the following story:
What we throw away at Hippocrates is what they dry and sell you for $30 a bottle. The blood of the plant, which is what you drink, is where the nutrition is. Some of them are tricky. They say, “Well, we take the juice and dry it. It’s no different than drinking the juice.” All that’s left is the particulate. The powder is made from the fiber, not the juice of the plant.
As we stated yesterday, and I’ll state every day for the rest of my life, once a wheat grass is 15 minutes old, the nutrients are pretty much gone.
Let’s imagine that we invested $200,000 to $250,000 in a flash freezer, then made wheat grass by the ounce and flash-froze it. Does anyone do that? No.
They make gallons of wheat grass and probably let it sit for hours, then do it slow freezing. By the time you get the wheat grass, it only has a few minerals left.
So, there’s a right way, and there’s an easy way. The right way is to get a juicer, get your butt in gear and do it. if you can take the time to go to Starbucks and stick that crap down your throat, you can certainly take the time to juice wheat grass.
